30. Laughing at Aches & Pains (嘲笑疼痛) Topic: 30. Laughing at Aches & Pains Yoga Class Notes: One of 40 Foundation Exercises Every now and then, some part of my body hurts. I don't really question it — after all, I've lived more than half my life. How can I expect to have the body of an 18 or 22-year-old? Plus, I really love to keep my body moving. Every week, I make sure to do cardio, strength training, qigong, swimming, light dancing, and housework. For someone like me, it's no surprise that I feel pain now and then — either from overusing my body or using it the wrong way. (Got to be careful!) Whenever I feel pain, besides doing the right physical exercises, I now also laugh at the pain. I learned this from Laughter Yoga. Wherever it hurts, I pat that spot and laugh out loud! At first, the "Ha ha ha!" sounds fake — and I’m used to that kind of forced laughter. The pain is still there, but the tight feeling loosens up a little, and at least my mind doesn...
